Lubrication Technologies’ Showcase

Disc Vacuum Filter

Project Overview:

Lubrication Technologies designed and supplied two identical ReliaMAX™ automatic lubrication system kits for a rotary disc vacuum filter used in heavy-duty slurry dewatering. These filters are commonly used in demanding environments where fast-settling, abrasive slurries must be separated efficiently, producing thick filter cakes with high throughput and minimal moisture.

The lubrication systems were configured to service key mechanical components throughout the equipment, including trunnions, agitators, and process valves. Lubricating these points helps prevent wear and keeps the equipment running as intended.

Each system was configured to service 14 lubrication points and included:

  • ReliaMAX™ 4-liter electric grease pump (115 VAC) enclosed in a fiberglass NEMA 4X cabinet with clear viewing window
  • Integrated low-level switch, power cord, dry contacts, and 0–4000 PSI pressure gauge
  • Fixed output positive displacement pumping element with push/pull design and integrated pressure relief
  • Three 316 stainless steel series progressive divider valves (1 primary and 2 secondary), each configured to support 7 lubrication points
  • Proximity switch for flow verification and LED strobe light for system fault alerts
  • Pin-style performance indicators on each lubrication line outlet
  • 14 nickel-plated brass push lock fittings
  • 150 meters of 6mm polyamide grease-filled tail line tubing
  • 50 meters of 8mm high-pressure feed line tubing rated to 12,000 PSI burst
  • Lube line number tags, system manuals, and installation diagrams

These kits were engineered for reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions, providing consistent lubrication to all critical areas of the machine and helping reduce unplanned downtime.
