Lubrication Technologies’ Showcase

Elgin Pelican Broom Sweepers

Project Overview:

ReliaMAX™ Automatic Lubrication Systems are routinely installed on Elgin Pelican broom sweepers as part of ongoing efforts to improve reliability and reduce maintenance demands in municipal fleets. These sweepers operate in abrasive, high-dust environments where frequent greasing is essential to prevent premature wear on moving components.

Each system typically services 11 critical points, including the steer cylinders, elevator bearings, swing arm guide, and rear brush bearing. The installations feature 4 kg electric grease pumps filled with Monolec® Multiplex Lubricant (4622), a high-performance NLGI 2 grease engineered for water resistance, mechanical stability, and long-lasting protection. Specific points, like the swing arm guide, are equipped with check valves and ferrule fittings to ensure consistent performance and safeguard against backflow.

Whether outfitting a single unit or performing batch installs across an entire fleet, these systems help municipalities extend equipment life, streamline preventive maintenance, and keep their sweepers running efficiently day after day.
